Israel Ruiz Maisonet

Israel Ruiz-Maisonet, 81 of Providence, RI passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  He was born in Vega Baja, PR on June 29, 1937.  He came to the United States at a young age and lived in Philadelphia and Boston before settling in Providence, RI.  Israel was a proud citizen, hard worker, and a good friend.  He loved music, playing dominoes, and cooking. He was always a well-kept person, who took pride in his appearance, especially his hair! He never left home without his comb!

Israel was preceded in death by his parents Domingo Ruiz and Cecilia Maisonet and siblings Gino Ruiz, Rodrigo Ruiz, Fafo Ruiz, Maria Celeste Ruiz, and Margarita Ruiz.  He leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as his dear friends who are in fact his family; Candida Franco, Ramon Robles, Maria Hudson & family, Jacklyn Baez & family, Maria Melvin & family,  Rosa Corona & family, and Linnia Phivilay & family.

He will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.  A private funeral service will be held by his family and close friends
