George Prout

George G. Prout, age 82, passed away October 16th, 2019 at The Bannister House Nursing Facility after a major stroke.

Mr. Prout was the husband of the late Dolores (Hardy) Prout. He is survived by four sons, George Gomes, Brian, Keith & Dennis Prout, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Theodore Prout Jr. and a host of family and friends.

George was the son of the late Theodore Prout Sr. & Lillian (Reels) Prout. He was the brother of the late Grace (Prout) Monroe, Bernice (Prout) Moore, Marjorie Robertson, Lynn Ann McClarnon, Donald, Carl, Joseph Sr., James, and Kenneth Prout Sr., and Bryan Hall.

George was Native American and served as a member in the Air Force. He was an automobile detailer & mechanic for over 50 years; a carpenter and he worked as a residential counselor at a group home for over 15 years before retiring. He was a member of Zion Gospel Temple in East Providence, RI for many years.  He will be missed by all.
