Elton C. Simpson born February 28, 1961, feel asleep in death Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Born to E.C. Simpson and Leetta Brown Simpson in Council, N.C.
He attended Hope High school and upon graduation worked for the bank for many years. He went back to school and obtained his CDL license for truck driving as well as a certification for carpentry. Elton was an excellent boxer in his youth, he received a golden glove award in a boxing tournament. Elton also served his community, he worked for a nonprofit organization helping ex-convicts find housing and employment. He was well diverse in American history and politics, Elton loved Sports his favorite teams were the Patriots and the Lakers.
Elton was close to his cousin Clarence Melvin (Mr. Bones), whom he loved and enjoyed taking fishing trips together.
He leaves behind his mother Leetta Simpson, wife Janice Comissiong Simpson, 4 children Chrystal, Merlissa Sue, Paul and April, one daughter in law Christina and 3 grandchildren Jaylia (bag of sugar), Alex and Elizabeth, 2 sisters Cindy Grant and Dale Simpson, 2 brothers Vernon Brown (Joyce Brown) and Randy Brown, 2 aunts Mary Melvin of Providence, Kay Francis Kapaloff (George) of the US Virgin Islands, 1 uncle Mervin Brown of Charlotte, NC.
Elton leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his father E.C. Simpson and brother Joseph Brown.
