Edrick A. Ramsey, Jr.

Edrick A. Ramsey Jr, 76 years old, of California Avenue in Providence RI, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 7th 2019. Edrick, also known as Sonny, was born on August 12th 1943 in Providence, RI. He was the son of the late Edrick A. Ramsey Sr. and Rose (Avant) Ramsey; father of the late Tonya D. Ramsey and brother of the late Inez R. Barber. Edrick was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Huberta (McKinnon) Ramsey, whom he is now reunited with.

Edrick had retired from the Rhode Island Medical Center (I.M.H.) and through his retirement years, worked at the Bell Funeral Home in Providence, RI. He was a hard working man, husband and father. 

Edrick also leaves behind his three children, Edrick A. Ramsey III (Cristina), Edrick White, and Kim Y. Ramsey; seven grandchildren, El Dominic Ramsey, Tyan Jones (Derrick), Shyan Ramsey, Edrick Ramsey IV, Waymon Ramsey, Janel Aguilar and Thomas. Also two great-grandchildren, Lidiana Jones and Christian Aguilar. Edrick was a family man who provided for his household and extended his love and care to his family as well.

Edrick is survived by one sister, Lorraine R. Travers, of Providence RI; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was loved by all who had the pleasure to know him and he will be greatly missed.
