Denise Walke

Denise L. Walke also known as NeNe, 61, of Providence, RI passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Elmwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family in Providence, Rhode Island.  She was born on February 20, 1958 in Virginia Beach, VA.  Denise was the daughter of late Frances Partin and late Herbert Walke.  She was a loyal employee at the Newport Marriot for many years.  Denise loved dogs and owned many throughout her lifetime.  She was very militant, intelligent, witty, loving, and mostly a fighter. She enjoyed reading, had a huge sense of humor and an infectious laugh.

Denise L. Walke is survived by her daughters Astarria Walke of Los Angeles, CA and Shovondrea Walke of Providence, RI and her grandsons Askari and Artez Pitts of Los Angeles, CA  and Josiah Walke of Providence, RI, her sisters Carol Ramos of Providence, RI  Vanessa Holley (Walke) of Jacksonville, FL, Karen Walke of  Los Angeles CA, and Kim King (Walke) of Providence, RI, her brothers William Ford of Central Falls RI, Herbert Walke of Providence, RI and Trevor Partin of Providence, RI and a many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Ford of Warwick, RI.

Denise shared a mutual love for her family and will truly be missed.
