David Johnson

An angel was called home to be in the arms of our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. David Johnson was the second oldest child born to the late Deborah Ann Johnson and David Butler affectionately known as Brother Dawud Shakir on May 29, 1970 in Albany, NY.

David leaves behind to cherish his memory his Aunt/Mother Jeanette Hodge of Providence. His children Michael Looney of East Providence , David Sullivan, Antonio Sullivan of New Jersey. Shannon Ross Jr, Jazlyn Ross, Shaquan Miller, Shantessa Miller and David Johnson Jr of Providence. Five grandchildren Elyse Grace Ross, Jaquan Cruz, Shailynn Ross, Jo'ziah Ross, Calimia Lewis. His longtime companion Jessica Gray.

He also leaves three sisters Aleima Harmon of Philadelphia, Aleima Johnson and Akabra Hodge of Providence. Nine brothers Anthony Leigh Jr (Taneya), Arthur Johnson (Mayra), Asmar Johnson, Larry Johnson (Angie), Garry Johnson (Sharron), Nicholas Hodge of Providence. Wayne Butler (Courtney) of Virginia, Tyrone Butler (Angie), Abdul Hakeem of Philadelphia. Aunt Jacqueline Tarver (Tony) of Albany. Uncles Michael Tarver (Nancy), David Tarver, Morris Johnson of Albany, NY. Uncle Arthur Carter of St Petersburg, FL. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephew,aunts and uncles and other relatives and extended family and countless friends.

Also predeceased by  Grandmothers Anna Johnson and Catherine Bell, Grandfathers William Johnson, George Tarver and Andrew Jackson Butler. His Uncles  Raymond Johnson, Larry Johnson, Walter Johnson, Gary Hayes, William Tarver, William Bullock, and his brother David Butler.
