Barbara T. Chambers ( Smith), 68, of Alston Street, Providence, Rhode Island

Passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

She was the wife of Harmon D. Chambers, they were married for 12 years.

She was born on October 21, 1951 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Gaffney) Smith.

Barbara was a devoted wife and mother. Caring for family was her greatest joy. She loved life.

Barbara enjoyed horseback riding, sewing, cooking, watching Western movies and animals especially her cat “Smokey”

Besides her husband she is survived by 4 daughters, Kimberly Johnson, Trace Smith, LillyBelly Brown and Marie Smith, 4 sons, Lemuel Smith, Joseph A. Smith, Grey Smith and Jason Smith, 1 brother, Robert Smith, 34 grandchildren and 22 great-grand children. She was the sister of the late Emil Smith.
