Antonio Araujo Esteves

February 6, 1924 ~ June 2, 2019 (age 95)

Antonio Araujo Esteves, of Providence, R.I., passed away on Sunday, June 02 at Roger Williams Hospital. Antonio was the husband of Maria Virgen Aquino de Araujo, married for 65 years. 

Antonio was born in Villa Rivas, Dominican Republic on February 06, 1924. Antonio was 3 of 11 siblings born to Agapito Araujo and Luisa Esteves. Antonio is survived by his siblings Digna, Genoveva, Maria Eugenia, Estela, Francisco, Javier and predeceased Jose, Jose Dolores, Felipe and Victor.

Antonio leaves 9 children Tefofila (Mamota), Hector, Victor, Fernando (Luko), Angel (Gelo), Juan (Tony), Pedro (Peter), Domingo and predeceased Samuel. Antonio also leaves behind 41 grandkids and 48 great grandkids.

Antonio was a Park Ranger and Agriculturist in his native country of Dominican Republic. He migrated to the United States in 1983 where he worked in the Mills in Lawrence, MA. Antonio was a dedicated man to his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Everyone he came across, he touched their hearts in a special way. Antonio always made you laugh with his jokes and made you smile just by looking at his smile. Antonio loved his wife and played argue with her and would say “Maria hmmm”.

Antonio never showed his pain or suffering. Antonio was well known for the way he put his kids, grandkids and great grandkids to sleep. Antonio would sit them on his lap, rock one leg and hum to them till they fell asleep. Antonio was a caring father he would always wait up for his kids to get home before going to bed.

Antonio will be missed, but never forgotten. Antonio will be in our hearts forever, till we meet again.

Antonio Araujo Esteves, de Providence, R.I., fallecio el Domingo, 2 Junio de 2019 en Roger Williams Hospital. Antonio era el esposo de la Senora Maria Virgen Aquino de Araujo, casados por 65 anos. 

Antonio nacio en Villa Rivas, Republica Dominicana, 6 Febrero de 1924. Antonio fue el 3ro de 11 hijos de el Senor Agapito Araujo y la Senora Luisa Esteves. Antonio sobrevivio por sus hermanos Digna, Genoveva, Maria Eugenia, Estela, Francisco, Javier y los fallecidos Jose, Jose Dolores, Felipe y Victor.

Antonio déjà 9 hijos Tefofila (Mamota), Hector, Victor, Fernando (Luko), Angel (Gelo), Juan (Tony), Pedro (Peter), Domingo y fallecido Samuel. Antonio déjà atras 41 nietos y 48 bisnietos.

Antonio fue Guardabosques y Agricultor en su native pais Republica Dominicana. Antonio imigro a los Estados Unidos en 1983 donde trabajo en una factoria en Lawrence, MA. Antonio se dedico a su esposa, hijos, nietos y bisnietos. Todos los que lo conocian, quedaban impactados de una forma especial. Antonio siempre tenia una forma de hacerte reir con sus chistes o con solo mirar y verlo sonreir. Antonio amaba a su eposa y le encantava molestartla o jugar con ella y le decia “Maria hmmm”.

Antonio nunca demostro dolor ni sufrimiento. Antonio era bien conocido por la forma de poner a sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos a dormir. Antonio los sentaba en su falda, mecia la pierna y les tararear hasta que se durmieran. Antonio siempre estaba pendiente de sus hijos cuando salian, y el esperaba hasta que llegaran para acostarse.

Antonio sera extranado, per nunca olvidado. Antonio vivara siempre en nuestros corazones, hasta que nos volvamos a ver.
