Alejandrina Veras Torres, 93, of Providence, RI, passed away peacefully in her home on November 19, 2017 at 7:05 PM.
Alejandrina, who was affectionately known as Didi. She was born in Juan Gomez, Dominican Republic on November 26, 1923 to the late Albertina Veras.
She loved cooking, and walking for miles to visit family and friends. Alejandrina was lovingly cared for by her daughter in law Norka Torres until her last days.
She was married to the late Delfin Torres and was preceded in death by her sons Marcos and Santiago Torres.
Alejandrina is survived by her children, Ramon, Maria M., Manuel, Maria A., Juan, Victor, Ylsa, Carmen, and Tulio Torres, Maria P. Tilson, and Maria Y. Guzman. She is also survived by her 47 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren, and 27 great, great grandchildren.
