Jose Luciano Obituary

On the evening of April 15, 2024, our Lord and Savior called home one of his soldiers, Jose Luciano Miranda, surrounded by his wife, daughter, nieces, and nephew. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico he grew up and had a normal island kid childhood. Swimming at Al Cano creek, helping his mother take care of the pigs, and hanging out with his siblings. He worked on the sugar cane and coffee farms and also helped out in the auto mechanic shops with big dreams of becoming a professional mechanic himself. He came to Providence, Rhode Island with his late father, Jose Luciano Robles, his late mother Maria (Mariluz) Miranda Quiñones, and his siblings. He had a LOVE for music. A love for the heartbeat of all music, the percussions. He loved the drums! Especially the congos, and played whenever he had the chance to. He also never passed up an opportunity to flip over a pot or a trash can and bang out a beat either! He had a laugh so unique and obnoxious, you couldn’t help but laugh with him. Sarcasm was his third language and man did he love a nice car! Above anything, he had a good heart and a good soul. He will be truly missed.

Jose’s departure leaves a big void in a very big, close knit family along with his late parents and brother Hector L Luciano. Leaving behind a loving and devoted wife, Emma Rodriguez and his daughter Miche’le Fontes and his grandchildren Kam’Ryn N. Fontes and Kassidy S. Fontes-Anderson. His step kids Jessica Fontes and her children, Jeffery Fontes, and Janette Baez and her children. Also, brothers Jose A. Franceshi, Nelson Luciano and wife Nilsa, Orlando Luciano, Nestor L. Luciano, Adalberto Luciano and wife Indy, Raul Luciano and wife Janette, Luis E. Luciano and wife Zory, and sisters Norma Luciano, Daisy Luciano, Natividad Luciano and husband Luis V., Luz N. Luciano and husband Orlando, Ada I. Luciano and husband Antonio, Wanda I. Luciano and husband Jonathan, and a lot of nieces and nephews and extended family. All of them loved him dearly. Let the legacy he leaves behind be one of remembering to laugh deeply, love wholeheartedly, and play a little beat to brighten the day every time you can.

Luciano, Adalberto Luciano y esposa Indy, Raúl Luciano y esposa Janette Baez, Luis Enrique Luciano y esposa Zory, y hermanas Norma Luciano, Daisy Luciano, Natividad Luciano y esposo Luis V., Luz N. Luciano y esposo Orlando, Ada Irma Luciano y esposo Antonio, Wanda Ivette Luciano y esposo Jonathan, y muchas sobrinas, sobrinos y familiares.
