Marshall Jasper Mazyck, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Cranston, Rhode Island. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on March 29, 1927, a son of the late Dana Mazyck and the late Daisy (Rosemond) Mazyck. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline Marie (West) Mazyck.
He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where he was the founder of the first soup kitchen. He was a former member of the Masonic Temple King Solomon Lodge #5.
He is survived by daughter Vanessa M. West Hazard, son-in-law Wayne E. Hazard, daughter-in-law, Sharon Mazyck, sister-in-law Millicent A. Maynard, 3 grandchildren, Cardia J. Rhodes, Daniece A. Mazyck, and Drew J. Mazyck, as well as many other family and friends.
