Lavern Joyce Spike, 53, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, in Massachusetts. She was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on January 11, 1963. She was the daughter of Phillip Spike and Lillian Simpson.
Lavern was a Medical Technician at Cherry Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Johnston, RI for 15 years.
She is survived by her 4 children, Garfield Thompson, Abigail Spike, Karen Cumberland and Timesha Cumberland, many siblings and special long-time friend, Donna Powell as well as many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
