Barbara A. Tomlinson

Barbara Ann Tomlinson, 84, passed away on December 11, 2017 at Summit Commons Rehab and Health Care Center in Providence, Rhode Island surrounded by her loving family. 

She was the daughter of Andrew and Christine (Clement) Washington. She was the wife of the late Fredrick Tomlinson.  She was born in Providence, RI on January 25, 1933.

Mrs. Tomlinson was a homemaker who took pride in caring for her family.

She also loved children as she had taken care of many nieces and nephews and their children as well.

A former member of Hood Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, Providence and a current Deaconess as well as member of Word of Life Global Ministry Church in Providence. She was an avid piano/organist player and choir member for many gospel groups throughout R.I.

She is survived by her children Keith, Kevin, Mark, Yvette, Steven, Christine Tomlinson and Kim Gomes, her sister Janice Johnson, 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Mrs. Tomlinson was preceded in death by her siblings Florinell Smith, Lois Tabela, Gerald Washington, and James Washington.
